Acting2Advocate

Interacting is developing a brand new project called Acting2Advocate. Its aim is to increase understanding in the Intellectually Disabled community of their Human Rights and in doing so, enable good lives.

The A2A team comprises actors, Adam Fanning, Sophie Wills, Joanna Bowers, Erin Fraser Payne, Treena Armstrong and Lisa Hannam with facilitators, Paula Crimmens and Ella McLeod. The team have been working on devising scenes from their own experiences that address themes of Human rights like the right to privacy, to work, freedom from abuse and to have relationships. We are then touring the presentation to Disability providers, Special schools, Parents organisations and providing some staff training. A similar project was trialled in 2016 in partnership with Spectrumcare and it proved very entertaining, engaging and educational.

So if you know anywhere that would be interested in having us come and perform, get in touch on this website or text Paula on 0276100824. We would love to hear from you and are very excited to share our project with you.
